Young African filmmakers take on COVID misinformation

Emerging filmmakers across Africa from the Multichoice Talent Factory teamed up with Verified to fight COVID-19 misinformation in their communities

Young filmmakers produced a series of seven short films to encourage people to Pause and take care before they share online.

The filmmakers – from Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe – used popular memes, youth voices and humour to make sure their videos resonated with their target audience.

The new short films are airing on Multichoice channels in Africa, and you can also watch them on MultiChoice Talent Factory’s Facebook page.
