WHAT IS VERIFIED CHAMPIONS?
Verified Champions is a global community of online creators dedicated to speaking out about climate change. Our creators come from all walks of life, and started out by telling stories about the things that matter to each of them. Now, they also view their everyday content through a climate lens, exposing the very real impacts of global warming across every subject, culture, and community.
You don’t have to be a climate expert to talk about climate. We welcome voices from all backgrounds, whether you’re a student, farmer, teacher, construction worker, parent, artist, or small business owner, we believe everyone has something important to say about taking care of the planet.
Our Champions are part of Verified for Climate, a joint initiative of the United Nations and Purpose. We start conversations about climate change across the world — in comment sections on TikTok, with community action groups, and at international climate forums.
Since we started, our Verified Champions have created more than 1,500 pieces of climate-focused content, delivering over1 billion views worldwide.

WHAT WE ASK FROM OUR
VERIFIED CHAMPIONS
As a member of Verified Champions, you will create content that inspires people in your country to do more about climate change.
You will be asked to:
Find the themes connecting climate change and the things you care about, and talk about them in your videos
Show people what the research tell us – that despite what people believe, most people support climate action!
Highlight solutions and initiatives that show how every community can do its part to slow global warming
Make climate topics accessible and relevant to your local community
Join online sessions to connect with and learn from other Verified Champions
